Darrin Bolt began his working life as a manufacturing engineer programming industrial robots after studying engineering at Purdue University. As personal computers began to find a solid foothold in the automotive manufacturing world, he took the opportunity to lead innovation, implementing networked PC’s on a widespread basis.

This facilitated a move to information technology where Darrin started as a department manager and moved up to division director, picking up invaluable business knowledge along the way. After moving to a mid-size company as corporate IT director (“Hi, I am from corporate and I am here to help.”), he made the leap to senior consultant around the Indianapolis area.

After completing several successful long-term projects, an opportunity presented itself to join a tech startup in the education space. Eight years later, as president, Darrin worked to facilitate the successful sale of the company. Upon completion of the sale, he began to look for a new challenge. The Prosper Group came along where he manages the rapidly growing server infrastructure and assists in other IT assets as needed.

When he is not administrating the systems, Darrin leads an organization that offers free food for local residents, attends the many events of his children, and travels with his wife and family. He experiments with all manner of gadgets, hacks around with scripting languages, reads techno-thrillers, and listens to selections from his 15,000 track music collection while performing the never-ending mundane minutiae associated with the joys of home ownership.
