Who is Prosper?

The Prosper Group's founders, Kristen and Kurt Luidhardt, have been married since 2004. The Luidhardt's grew up in small towns in the Midwest, dreaming about making a difference in their world.

Both were inspired to help good people run for office. They have a wide variety of political experience that gives them a unique perspective on political campaigns. It’s this experience, from running small county council campaigns to major statewide efforts, that’s sets them apart.

Their interest in political technology as a tool for campaigns began in 2002 and continues to this day.

Kristen: Perfectionist-in-Chief

Kristen grew up in horse country in Wilmore, Kentucky before moving to Indiana to attend college. At Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) she majored in Political Science, ran track and was President of the College Republicans.

• In 2007, Kristen won a coveted Golden Mouse for her work on US Congressman Dan Burton’s official website.
• Kristen served as Political/Finance Director for US Congressman David McIntosh’s 2004 Governor’s campaign, setting fund raising records for McIntosh.
• Kristen mastered the legislative process lobbying for the Indiana state chapter of Eagle Forum on issues from mental health screening to immigration reform.
• She honed her grassroots campaign skills working for the Indiana House Republican Campaign Committee.
• Kristen teamed up with Kurt to run a successful fireworks business (in conjunction with TNT Fireworks) and a Christmas decorating business called The Christmas Light Pros.

Kurt: Strategery Expert

Kurt grew up on a small farm in New Washington, Ohio before also moving to Indiana to attend college. At IWU, Kurt majored in Political Science and History. He started managing political campaigns in 2000. He's traded time between political work an entrepreneurial efforts since then.

• Kurt managed large government consulting projects for Nexpointe Strategies ranging from $60,000 to $500,000.
• He traveled Indiana assisting pro-business candidates while manager of Political Affairs for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
• Kurt teamed up with Kristen to run a successful fireworks business (in conjunction with TNT Fireworks) and a Christmas decorating business called The Christmas Light Pros.
